I found summit dog training when I was looking for starter classes for my dog. Summit is reasonably priced, generally it breaks down to 50-75 dollars per class, sometimes more for other type of classes. But for the area they are the cheapest in the area. Summit helped my dog with the basics and now with my contunied hardwork and training, we have started advance training classes. Summit also offers a wide range of advance classes that I cant locate in the area, anywhere else, including rally, trick training among others. I highly recommeded the group classes and they also offer behavioral classses for trouble dogs.

Dani at Summit is a dog whisperer! I met her when my Shetland Sheepdog was about 11 weeks old. I knew the typical training I’d done with all my other dogs wasn’t working but didn’t understand why. Dani helped me understand what a “reactive dog” needs. I had no idea what I was doing. Not only did Dani understand my dog and know how to help her, but she was also excellent at offering support and critical guidance to me, an important component in the training (a skilled and confident pet parent). If it wasn’t for Dani, I just wouldn’t have been able to give Piper the proper training she deserves. Now I can. With a reactive dog, it takes a very long time to get them to a comfortable place. Dani even helped by referring me to a reasonably priced behavioral vet who was extremely supportive and helpful. My pup is now just over a year old and is doing amazingly ! I so appreciate the care and concern Dani shows my dog. She treats her like she’s her own pup. I trust her completely with my little buddy, and she has even boarded her for me a few times. What a gem Dani is in the dog training world. I highly recommend her for all your dog training needs. My daughter is now having Dani help train her new puppy (who is not a reactive dog). She’s truly excellent at her job! Thank you Dani! You’re the best!

My rescue dog, Winnie, is the wiggliest pup with the best smile, but struggles with her big feelings. I think many people in my life are tired of me talking about the team at Summit, but even after the first week of our first class, I knew they were who I wanted Winnie to work with. The team at Summit (Shay & Meredith have been the two I’ve worked with in their classes) care and see her for the sweet dog she is. Even in the toughest training classes we have, I walk away proud and feel like we’re getting somewhere. They don’t just train the dog, they teach the humans, which is so incredibly valuable for my relationship with Winnie. If you want to build a relationship with your dog and want them to be the best they can be (and feel like you aren’t alone in teenage dog menace phase), I highly recommend Summit Dog Training. I cannot say enough good things about how kind, knowledgeable, understanding, and supportive this crew is. If you are picking a dog trainer - classes, camp, private training, this is where you want to be.

In just our first appointment with Sarah we have seen so much improvement in reactive behavior from our dogs. Sarah did a wonderful job of explaining the behaviors she was seeing and the reasons for them. This helped us to understand better how to change them.

We just finished our second puppy class. Our class with Angela Murray was excellent! She would address everyone's concerns and each individual dogs problems. We learned a immense amount in a very short time. She was fun light hearted and extremely knowledgeable. My husband and I highly recommend her. We are looking forward to taking another of her classes.

Angela was so amazing - from the very first step into our house our puppy Finn was in love, and so were all members of our family! She was so engaging and had so many great tips for all of us! We feel like we are making so much progress and we only had one lesson and a week and a half of practice with Finn! I highly recommend Summit Dog Training - and especially recommend Angela! We are so grateful that we have found a place for us to learn how to train our puppy to become the dog we know that he can be!

Taking my reactive rescue here and it's helping! He will always be a work in progress, but Summit provides ongoing support via drop in classes and various outings and groups to attend.
