The Summit Dog Training Community is the best! I drive all the way from Boulder with my dog to attend classes and special events there, and when I’ve missed class because of weather, the material is all online with references to additional enrichment activities and products. The teachers are dedicated positive reinforcement professionals who are involved in the progress of their students. They care about animals and their people. They are problem solvers. They collaborate with each other and continually evolve through ongoing education with some of the most highly regarded training organizations in the country. I wish Summit would open a branch in my town!❤️🐾

I've been taking Nose Work with my dog, and his confidence level has skyrocketed since we started! He's always been social deep down in his heart, but he's struggled with reactivity preventing him from just relaxing and enjoying his time around strangers. Since we started, I've watched him go from nervous and uncertain, to wiggling with excitement when it's his turn to search. The transformation in his general demeanor has been so noticeable. The new facility has so much space, and I can't wait to continue working with him through the next levels of the class!

You cannot go wrong by selecting Summit Dog Training! We've used Sarah and Angela and it's amazing how much we've learned with them. Training tricks was easy, but Summit has been instrumental in helping us communicate with our dog to help her in helping herself or recognizing when we need to help her. Our focus right now is behavioral issues and this is where Summit has shined for us. You won't see negative reinforcement like e-collars or anything disgusting like that. They get to know you and your dogs' relationship and teach communication and implement research-based strategies for addressing their needs using positive reinforcement. What you actually do depends on the needs of your pet so it's hard to summarize. But, you work with an expert who observes you and your pet, and helps you find effective strategies to meet your goals while also creating a fun training environment. Not only this, but you can correspond with your trainer to: ask questions, analyze videos, etc. They make a huge effort to not only understand and explain your dogs' comfort, but they are happy to explain forward-looking aspects of the sessions (i.e. the "what" and "why" of each sessions focus). Finding a trainer was unnecessarily difficult and we're so thankful we found Summit because they have been an invaluable resource. We look forward to each session because we learn so much about our strategies and how we can be more effective in meeting goals. Summit trainers are encouraging, patient, personable, and they pick up on things you don't notice. If you trust their expertise, you'll be amazed by what you learn.

I can’t say enough good things about Summit Dog training! I adopted Penny when she was 5 months old. Summit has helped me gain the confidence and skills to help Penny explore the world, we have taken two training classes with Sarah (reactive dog 101, smells like teen spirit) and I can see the difference in Penny and myself. Sarah has been supportive and so informative on training games and strategies. Summit also has great opportunities to practice the skills I’ve learned in training treks and play groups. Not to mention a monthly get together for dog owners to share stories of their pups and get reassurance that we aren’t alone! Thank you Summit for all you do!

We have been so happy with the Puppy Adventure Camp with Shay and Meredith. Our puppy loves it too, she is so excited when getting dropped off. She is making great choices at home and is growing into such a well-behaved dog. Thank you!
