I was so nervous going to any type of counseling but I've never felt so welcomed and more at home from the whole staff if you're struggling with anything definitely go check them out they are all amazing

This is a great local office with a dedicated and caring staff! The appointments are always on time and the doctor is easy to talk to and very caring. I’ve been attending PCVB for over 2 years and I have nothing but good things to say about them. I highly recommend PCVB for anyone who may be having issues with anxiety and/or depression or their overall genetic mental health well being.

Suzie has just a gift!! I’ve done EMDR with some of the best ( including trainers)and she is right up there with them. She is a great listener and made me feel very comfortable and safe to do some heavy work with her in her office. The atmosphere is very calm and she was on time and highly professional. Unfortunately not always the case these days but Suzie is prompt and professional.I would highly recommend her.

Suzanne is an incredibly adept EMDR clinician. She focuses on the client’s specific needs and individualizes her approaches to help them. She builds a strong rapport of trust with her clients that lets them know they are safe while they are on their healing journey. She has a clear and thorough understanding of EMDR, is very teachable, and immediately applies suggestions. I highly recommend Suzanne to work with both as a therapist and a colleague.

I found Professional Counseling and Services of Vero Beach looking for help with my son. Since the 1st day with our counselor it felt like home. She was someone that was easy for my son and I to talk to. Neither of else felt judged in any way. Counseling will be ongoing for a while but with their help I believe it will help him with teenage life skills that are needed. Thank you for being a part of our community

Cindy is the best therapist I’ve encountered. She is a very smart, kind, compassionate, honest, and humble person. She has helped me tremendously. I’m now more compassionate with myself and this has been helping me to heal traumas. I also love that she has various approaches to healing and because of this, I don't get bored of therapy. Dr. Downey is also an excellent psychiatrist. She is the first person who acknowledged how much I was suffering. I felt embraced and cared for talking to her. With her thoughtful diagnosis, I now have a temporary tool to help me manage my disorganized mind.

I started therapy about a month ago, and it’s great! I found an amazing therapist in Erika she’s fantastic and I’m very thankful for her!!

A little over a year ago, I became a legal guardian. The minor in my care was disoriented and distraught at times, experienced delusions and hallucinations, suffered from bipolar disorder, PTSD, and eating disorder. If that weren’t enough, she is also on the autism spectrum. Ray Gonzalez, the office manager, Dr. Janice Downey, the licensed psychiatrist, and Lisette Perez, the licensed therapist with specialization in autism counseling at Professional Counseling and Services of Vero Beach provided the support and professional services the minor needed to thrive. Friday evenings and the weekends, when the office is closed, of course, are usually when an emergency arises. Caring for a minor with complex mental health issues, is emotionally draining. When we’re experiencing an emergency, I text Ray and, almost immediately, he replies, which helps reduce anxieties we’re experiencing at the moment because we know, once Ray replies, we’ll receive the help we need. Ray treats us like family. He sincerely cares about his clients’ mental wellness. He’s accommodating. He works with our schedule to get us an appointment as soon as possible. Dr. Downey, with over 35 years experience under her belt, is a great listener. She’s empathetic and “extremely professional,” as the minor puts it. Thanks to Dr. Downey, I’ve seen drastic improvements and emotional stability in the minor’s mental and overall health. Lisette Perez, her therapist, has helped the minor improve behaviors and thoughts common in children with autism since they see the world differently than we do. The minor has said to me, “Lisette gets it… she knows how I think… she understands me … she teaches me skills to cope with day-to-day stressors and triggers. I always look forward to my weekly therapy sessions.” Today, thanks to Ray’s genuine interest, Dr. Downey’s professional care, and Lisette Perez’s weekly therapy counseling, the minor has a new outlook on life. She feels happy and embraces life every day! Thank you Ray, Dr. Downey, and Lisette!

In the months that I have been seeing Ashley Robertson I have been helped and guided through some difficult grief and relationship issues. I have been dealing with a spouse that has been in an ever downward spiraling dementia for years. Its difficult when someone you love is unable to do anything for themselves or communicate in even the simplest ways. This had left me feeling depressed and alone. Ashley has helped to realize these challenges are opportunities for growth and understanding them and dealing with them builds me up as person and strengthens my character. Ashley has shown me the value of maintaining social connections with good friends and relatives during these trying times. Ashley is a great listener and knows just just when and what to say to comfort, challenge and encourage me. She is a person of deep faith that refreshes my soul
